Marjorie Knoller was sentenced to fifteen years jail time after the second trial. The first trial’s verdict was overturned. Knoller’s neighbor, Diane Whipple, was mauled to death by Knoller’s two big Presa Canario guard dogs in 2001.
Diane Whipple was in the hallway of their Pacific Heights building when Knoller’s Presa Canarios suddenly attacked Whipple.
Knoller was accused of not doing anything to stop her two Presa Canario guard dogs from mauling Diane Whipple. After the attack, Knoller failed to call 911 or help Diane Whipple. The judge, Charlotte Woolard, sentenced Marjorie Knoller to 15 years to life. This was a second degree murder conviction for Knoller. Knoller has the possibility of being paroled.
